Bona Leo hails from Achalla Awka-North LGA of Anambra state, born on 15th July 1985 into Mr and Mrs Joseph Igboanugo’s family, Started his Educational career at Emilyrich International Nursery and Primary School later graduated as a science student of Federal Government College Otobi, Oturkpo Benue state (Pro Unitate) and currently holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education (Second class Upper) from the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka Yaba and also on a platform of obtaining Masters in Public Health in the USA.

Nigeria 17-women’s team arrives Jordan for 2016 FIFA U-17 World Cup



The Flamingos of Nigeria have arrived Jordan for the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup kicking off on Friday, September 30.
The Nigeria U-17 Women’s football team which make their fifth consecutive appearance at the tournament have been placed in Group C along with Brazil, England and DPR Korea.The Bala Nikyu led team arrived in Jordan on Tuesday, September 27 from Dubai where they transited from Abuja.
Nigeria will play their first game of the tournament on Saturday, October 1 against Brazil. Three days later they play England before their last Group game against Korea DPR on Saturday, October 8.  
Nigeria have gotten to quarter-finals in their last three editions (New Zealand 2008, Trinidad and Tobago 2010 and Azerbaijan 2012.
The Flamingos were impressive in the qualifiers beating Namibia both home (4-0) and away (5-0) in the first round after they were given a bye through the preliminary stage.
In the second round, they beat South Africa 6-0 at home before recording a slim 1-0 win away.The Flamingos who are captained by Rasheedat Ajibade are aiming to go past the quarter-finals for the first time in Nigeria’s history.
