The next edition of Genesis Cinemas Nolly Thursdays
will hold on October 6, 2016 at Genesis Cinemas Palms Site, Lekki Lagos.
The special guest for this edition is Ayo Makun, for the movie “A trip to Jamaica”.
Ayo Makun popularly known as “AY”
is a standup comedian, a multi-award winning Nigerian actor, Comedian,
Radio and TV Presenter, Writer, Director and Producer. Having studied
Theatre Arts in School,
AY has produced
several sitcoms, notable amongst them is AY's crib. He also hosts one of
Africa's largest comedy shows, AY live and has featured in movies such
as Being Miss Elliot [2014] and Fusion [2016]. In 2009, he wasawarded UN Peace Ambassador after winning six different awards in 2008.
His
debut comedy movie “30 Days In Atlanta” emerged first Nollywood Film to
feature in the Guinness World Record since its inception in 1955 and was recognized for becoming the “highest domestic gross in the territories of Bollywood, Nollywood and Hollywood.” AY’s second movie titled “A Trip to Jamaica “ was released to the cinemas on 30th September, 2016.
“A trip to Jamaica” is
a story about Akpos and his fiancée Bola as they travel across the
Atlantic to visit family, they unexpectedly end up on an adventure. From
Nigeria to America, to the beautiful island of Jamaica comes action, suspense and mystery.
Nolly Thursdays will air on TrybeTv (GoTVngCh.97) by 5:30pm and ONTV (UHF Ch.41, GoTV Ch.96) by 7:30pm
