Police have arrested three more persons believed to have been part of the kidnapping gang that abducted Margaret Emefiele, wife of the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
Six suspects had been arrested following the kidnap which occurred last week along the Benin-Agbor Road.
It
was gathered that detectives of the Inspector-General of Police Special
Monitoring and Intelligence Team, are hunting for three other suspects
of the 12-man gang.
"We now have nine of the gang
members in custody. We are confident that we would get the remaining
three suspects in a short while," Punch quoted a Police source as
saying.
Mrs Emefiele was kidnapped on Thursday, September 29, 2016, and was released on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
